The About me page has been updated!
For those of you who never saw the old one, I've recreated it here:
I know that only a very small percentage of you lurkers might actually attempt to read this. If you're one of those few, I congratulate you. Of course, by this point, 99% of you have gotten bored from reading an entire sentence and moved on to view my photos or lurk around somewhere else. For the one person that's reading this right now: I'll try to make it worth your while.
My name is Joe Jiko. If you ask me where I'm from, I'll say "everywhere".. and I live in Florida. I enjoy creating and occupy myself creating graphics for the web and print. I'm sure I've made that pretty obvious already. I like my eyes, my hair, and being clean. I'm hardly ever wrong, because I don't say anything unless I know I'm going to be right. I don't have many enemies, but I don't have many friends. A lot of people know my name, know my face, but don't know me.
Get to know me, I won't disappoint you.

Who I would like to meet:

Anyone who is motivated and has goals for their life. Intelligent, honest, open-minded, forward thinking, and friendly people. Everyone else can expect to be met with indifference. I'm careful of the company I keep as I've had enough with all the trash people in this world who are wasting their lives and trying to drag everyone down to hell with them. Pretty straight forward, right?

Where am I going? Where am I now?

I moved to Pinellas County, FL on April 3rd, 2009 from Culpeper, Virginia. Florida is such a change from Virginia, but I'm used to it now. It's nice having my family close! I currently live in Clearwater and I'm employed full time as a graphic designer & web designer at Willy Walt and part time at Staples as a Resident Easy Tech. I also take on free lance work doing.. basically anything computer, art, or Internet related. For now, I plan to stick around Florida and continue to build up my portfolio and client base. At some point I want to move out of Florida to a place where the job market is healthy.. or at least healthier. Who knows if a place like that still exists in the US?

Web design? Creative Spine?

I'm a self-taught and motivated, professional, full time graphic designer, web designer, web developer, and computer technician.
I can do many things:

  • I design web sites, web interfaces, interactive forms, twitter backgrounds, and web banners

  • I develop web sites using html5, css3, PHP/MySQL, and javascript/jquery

  • I create & manipulate graphics in Photoshop and draw in Illustrator.

  • I can enhance photos and manipulate them

  • I design for printing products such as business cards, brochures, envelopes, and folders.

You need help with something computer related? I'm always willing to help you in the right direction. Visit my contact page and send me an email! I always try to reply to everyone. So what're you waiting for?

What now? Want to know more?

Leave me a comment! Say "Hi", call me a jerk, tell me stories, I doesn't matter what you say as long as you say something. Don't be an anonymous lurker! I want to hear from you. I want to know who you are. If you want to know more about me,
feel free to ask me anything! I will always respond if you send me emails.
For more reading, and insights into my thoughts and activities, you can go
read my blog. If you want something to look at, I've set up a photo gallery with samples of my artwork, doodles, and lots of life photos. If you have questions or want to read what others have asked me, visit the questions section. It's anonymous! (kind of like formspring except I made it from scratch).
Thanks for reading! If you read this whole thing, how about letting me know what you think? I'd love to hear from you!
