Update 2: RIP stickam
I've been decidedly lax in posting on my blog. I could say I haven't had time to sit down and write, but we all know that's a lame excuse. I've actually started and abandoned several posts, which you might still see up one day. While laying in my bed a moment ago, I took a personal oath to post frequently from here on. My goal is to write something every day of the week that has the letter t in it. For those of you who can't recite the days of the week with t's, that would be Tuesday, Thursday, and SaTurday. If you're checking up on me, those would be the days to see updates.
Main website https://www.joejiko.com
I have the prototype / beta layout up now. It's still a beta layout because some of the links don't work, and I've only implemented minor graphical enhancements. I'm working on an AJAX chat so the people visiting my website can communicate with me. I'm not sure if I've ever written down my intent of moving away from social websites, but that has always been my goal. I want this website to be my home base of operations. I'll be moving towards that end over the next month. I'd like to see this website fully operational by October 1st
. Coincidentally, it's a Thursday, which means I'll be able to post a blog entry about my progress and comply with my blog goals above.
I'm using twitter more and more often. If you use this service, I invite you to follow me @joejiko
for personal updates and @spinedesign
for web related links and my company updates. I noticed that
has a feature that embeds twitter chat into their webcam client. I thought it was interesting, maybe I can figure out how to include something like that in my upcoming AJAX chat or on the main site. I still haven't had time to go re-learn flash.
On a personal level, I've recently had ongoing problems with my car. It's now completely non operational, which means I need to find a new car. I hate car shopping.
That's all for now
